What is the wavelength of the UV? / Is it far-UV?

The peak UVC wavelength produced by Uvlizer is 254 nm (nanometers). This is the optimal wavelength for killing germs. The light actually produces a range of wavelengths, and it is the shorter wavelengths (below 240 nm) that produce the Ozone.
The wavelength of Uvlizer is not considered to be ‘far-UVC’, which is between 200-220 nm. Far UVC is too weak to penetrate the outer layer of human skin, which is why some consider it safe for use around people. But it is also much less effective at killing germs. Uvlizer is both effective and safe when used properly.
